And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but thou wilt. Matthew 26:39Oh Jesus, guide our footsteps lest we stray. For straying, My children, there is no cure except to keep so close to Me that nothing, no interest, no temptation, no other — can come between us. Sure of that you can but stay at MySide, knowing that,
as IAm the very Way itself, nothing can prevent your being in the Way, nothing can cause you to stray. I have promised Peace but not leisure, heartrest and comfort, but not pleasure. I have said,
“In the world ye shall have tribulation”; so do not feel, when adverse things happen, that you have failed or are not being guided, but I have said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
So learn of Me the overcoming Power of one who, though spat upon, scourged, misunderstood, forsaken, crucified, could yet see HisWork had not been affected by these things, cry triumphantly from HisCross, “It is finished.”
Not the pain, the mocking, the agony, but HisTask. Let this thought comfort you. Amid failure, discord, contumely, suffering, may angels be prepared to sound the chorus, “It is finished.”
Now unto Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of HisGlory blameless with great joy, the only God our Savior, through JesusChrist our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. BURDEN AND PRAYER
“‘Every child of God should have some God-given burden. No child of God can say that God has never given him or her a burden. However, burdens can only be received from God when our spirits are open to Him. An open spirit to God is the condition for receiving burdens from God. Having received a burden, we must learn to discharge it faithfully through prayer. When we have discharged the first burden, we will receive a second, and when the second is discharged, we will receive a third. There-fore, the most important thing is to open our spirits to God. We should say to God, “I open myself before You to pray.”
Because of our unfaithfulness we often do not receive any burdens; therefore, if we want to be those who bear God’s burdens, we must be very sensitive and not reject any feeling that comes from Him. If we feel we should pray for something, we should do it immediately. At the outset, these feelings may be faint, but they will gain in strength as we go on. If we quench the Spirit and do not release our burden through prayer, we will lose our burden. Then the only way to recover it is to confess our sin and thereafter faithfully respond to every God-given feeling. As soon as we are moved to pray, we should pray. As we faithfully discharge the burdens we have, God will continually give us further burdens to bear. The sole reason for not receiving further burdens is that we have not released the burden we already have, and the unreleased burden has squelched us. If we unload the burden, a second burden will follow. A burden may be very faint at the beginning, but we must be faithful to it. If we are faithful to do this repeatedly before the Lord, God will continue to dispense burdens to us one after another. O brothers and sisters, if we hope to be of any use to God, we must recover our lost burdens.
Burdens are especially related to the work of God. Therefore, we must seek to do His will in everything and wait on Him in HisWork until He communicates His burden to us. His burden is the manifestation of His will. The burden we receive is the very will of God, and it is also the means by which God manifests His will.
For example, God may give you a clear and strong burden to preach the gospel. If you go along with it and act according to God’s will, the more you preach, the more the burden will be released. The burden may be heavy at the beginning, but the more you preach, the lighter the burden will become. However, if you fail to discharge your burden, it will weigh down heavily on your spirit, and you will feel its weight becoming heavier and heavier as time goes on. Eventually, your feeling will become numb, and you will no longer feel the burden. The life within will seem to perish, and there will seem to be a barrier between you and God. (This does not mean that you will eternally perish, as in the case of eternal perdition; it merely means that you will feel as if your life has ceased.) It will seem as if you can no longer touch God and that the burden has crushed you. AllSpiritualWork issues from such burdens. If you try to work without a burden, your work will be ineffective. But if you work in accordance with the burden that is upon you, your whole being will be increasingly liberated as you advance. You may start off by having a heavy burden, but as you go on, the burden will be released, and you will be uplifted. The value of your work depends on the burden you bear in connection with it. Without a burden, there is no spiritual value to your work. But with a burden, there is spiritual value. Every time you work according to a burden, you will be refreshed and edified. As your load is discharged, you will be edified in the process. If you work without a burden, you will sense that you are laboring in vain and may even be conscious of reproof as you labor. In relation to all spiritual work, you should wait on God for HisBurden and then set out to discharge it in a conscientious way.”‘
Jesus made His way through throngs of people surrounding Him, He suddenly stopped and asked, “Who’s the one who touched Me?”
Although it seemed obvious, His disciples answered: the crowds were pressing upon Him. But Jesus insisted… “Someone touched Me.” He was certain a particular person had touched Him, because at that very moment, A DivinePower had gone out of Him.
A woman stepped out of the crowd and confessed to Jesus that she had touched Him, and something wonderful had happened to her.
For twelve long years she had been suffering from an uncontrollable hemorrhage, a year after year losing more blood. She had seen many physicians and spent all she had, but nothing helped. Then she heard about Jesus. Desperately making her way through the crowd, she came close to Him, believing that if she touched even the fringe of His garment, she would be healed. And she touched Him, her flow of blood stopped. His divine power had been transfused into her. His tender loving-kindness Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace, and be well from your affliction.”
This story in the Bible portrays our real condition. We’re afflicted with a disease that inevitably issues in eternal death: the inward disease of sin. How much suffering and damage this sickness has caused us! Try as we might, we can’t get rid of it. Just like the woman in the story, the many “physicians” we resort to philosophy, self- help programs, and other methods are ineffectual. We need Jesus to heal and save us.
In order to save us, GodHimself became an approachable, even touchable—man, JesusChrist. Jesus came to live among those sick with sin. Then He, a sinless One, died on a cross for our sins. The Bible says that Jesus’ RedeemingDeath heals us of our affliction of sin.
Jesus also resurrected from the dead and became the life-giving Spirit to give us eternal life. As the Spirit, He’s available here and now, able to enter in and live in all who repent and believe in Him.
But merely hearing about Jesus or being in the crowd milling around Him won’t save you. Like the woman, you must come to Jesus in faith, believing in all He did for you. Our sins will be forgiven, and He will impart His eternal life into you. You can touch Him with faith right now by praying
“Lord Jesus, I need You. I’m a sinner. I believe in all You did for me on the cross. Thank You for dying for me to heal me of my sins. I receive You as my Savior. Come in me and give me Your eternal life. Amen.”

The season after Pentecost, according to the calendar of the church year (BCP, p. 32). It begins on the Monday following Pentecost, and continues through most of the summer and autumn. May include as many as twenty-eight Sundays, depending on the date of Easter. This includes Trinity Sunday which is the First Sunday after Pentecost. The BCP provides proper collects and readings for the other Sundays of the season. These propers are numbered and designated for use on the Sundays which are closest to specific days in that monthly calendar, whether before or after. For example, Proper 3 is designated for use, if needed, on the Sunday closest to May 25. Proper29 is designated for use on the Sunday closest to Nov. 23. Prior to the 1979 BCP, Sundays in this long period of the church year were identified and counted in terms of the number of Sundays after Trinity Sunday instead of the number of Sundays after Pentecost. This period is also understood by some as “ordinary time,”: period of the church year not dedicated to a particular season or observance.
A gentle touch on the hand or shoulder; followed with a quiet, “I love you.” For young, or old, it is the greatest gift. Love is touch, God cannot touch your hand right of the bat, it requires something on our part. Giving up denial and our, your unbelief. As you open yourself to
Him, He will touch you, your heart filling it with love and bring total peace to you.
Share this reality with others, even with strangers, a quiet smile a simple hello or the an deliver an unexpected gift.
Would anyone argue that the world would be a better place if His opinion would be believed wholeheartedly?
March 10, 9.39.12AM – His Striving Spirit FOR YOU AND i
I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you; Till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle, shall in no wise pass form the law, till all be fulfilled.
For it to be so now; for thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness. – Matthew 3:15
Consider the words of C.S. Lewis: ………………………………………………….. “If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kent and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are all but creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition; infinite joy is offered us, like the “child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday; we’re too easily pleased.”
There is never a time when a man cannot turn repentant to Me and, craving My pardon, receive it. But there is a time when I cease to be in urging My follower to an action. The human ear can hear a sound so often it ceases to convey it’s meaning, to be heard with awareness. So with the spirit-ear, unless the whole desire of effort is to carry out My plan, My servant may cease to hear, cease to be aware of My wish. This is a grave spiritual danger, and I say unto you, guard against that. Now unto Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy. To the only GodourSavior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time, now and forever. Amen.
Upon this I founded My three years’ Mission on earth; on the acceptance of the difficulty and discipline of life so as to share that human life with My followers in all the ages.
Much that you must accept in life is not to be accepted it being necessary for you, personally, but accepted, I accepted it, to set an example, to share in the sufferings, difficulties of mankind.
In this “to share” means “to save.” And there, too, for you both; the same must be true as was so true of Me.
“He saved others; Himself He cannot save.”
Beloved, you are called to save and share in a very special way. The way of sorrows if walked with Me, a Man of Sorrows, path kept sacred and secret for My nearest and dearest, those, whose one desire is to do all for Me, to sacrifice all for Me, to count, My servant Paul did…
David counts the items stolen from my home in 2019 they are just gone, no matter their significance to me and my soul, bless to the offending parties, such sin will stick to you each, irregardless of your present idea’s, will cost you all when your mortal life’s through with for each.
“all things are but loss; so that they might gainMe.”
But, dreary that Path must look to those who view it; only if from afar,
It has tender lights, restful shades… other walk in this life can give.
David 1 month ago (edited) But who so hearkens unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. Proverbs 1:33 Walk in My Way and trust Me. No evil can touch you. I am yours as truly as you are Mine. Rest in that truth. Rest, that is, cease all struggle. Gain a calm, strong confidence in that certainty. Do not only rest in Me when the world’s struggles prove too much and too many for you to bear or face alone. Rest in Me when you need perfect understanding, when you need the consciousness of tender, a loving friendship and intercourse. The world, my poor world, flies to Me when its difficulties are too great to be surmounted any other way, forgetting, or never realizing, that if, with the same eagerness, hearts sought Me merely for companionship and loving intercourse, many of the difficulties would not arise. The circumstances, the life, the character would be so altered, so purified, that those same difficulties would not exist. Seek Me early, that is the way to find Me. Early, before I get crowded out by life’s troubles, and difficulties and pleasures.
David 1 year ago ‘God is everywhere. Jesus is the doer; The Holy Ghost is so powerful that when God the Father says it, it’s The Holy Ghost that does it. Everything you know about God came from the Holy Spirit, He is power. He is God. He searches God’s will, to show us tiny insects called the human race how react and feel. God became a seed. Jesus was anointed by Him. The spirit gave Christ the power to endure death; and rise again. We need this amazing person all the time. His spirit chose YOUR BODY to live in.
